Mission Control

Mission Control is the first stop in your workspace — it shows where your AI visibility stands, what the Engine has done, and what’s waiting on you. When in doubt, start here.

The Getting Started Checklist

New brands see a Getting started checklist at the top of Mission Control. It walks you through setup in order, ticks itself off as you go, and shows roughly how many minutes are left — most steps are hands-off:

1. Run your AI visibility report — see how AI models talk about your brand today.
2. Connect your site (optional) — skip it if your CMS isn’t supported.
3. Run a full technical audit on your website — find what AI can and can’t read.
4. Ship your first technical fixes — approve a fix and the Engine applies it for your review.
5. Create your content plan — point the Engine in a direction; it researches and proposes pieces.
6. Write your first content piece — approve a planned piece and a draft comes back for review.

Later steps unlock as earlier ones finish (you can’t ship fixes before an audit exists). Until setup is complete, the Mission Control item in your sidebar shows your progress, like 3/6.

The Three Layers

Your visibility work is organized into three layers, shown as cards in sequence:

1. Technical Foundation — the plumbing that lets AI read and trust your site. The Engine handles most of it: run an audit, approve the fixes it finds.
2. Content Authority — suggested pages and posts AI cites. Pick what to write, dismiss the rest; the Engine drafts what you approve.
3. Off-site — things that happen elsewhere (directories, reviews, communities), useful once your site’s in shape. The Engine guides these, you run them, and check them off as you go.

Each layer shows what’s open, what’s done, and a clear next step when you haven’t started yet — like Run your first audit or Plan your first content.

Starting Work From Here

You don’t need to leave Mission Control to put the Engine to work:

• Run an audit from the Technical Foundation card — pick a focus (full site, content, technical, or brand) and click Start audit.
• Plan content from the Content Authority card — optionally give a direction and click Start planning.
• Turn report suggestions into work — strategy suggestions from your reports carry a Plan pieces or Plan fixes button. Clicking it starts a planning job: the Engine researches that suggestion and new pieces appear in the layer shortly, each labeled with the suggestion it came from.

Waiting on You

When the Engine finishes something, it appears in the Waiting on you card — finished work that needs a decision. Each item has a Review link that takes you straight to the right place: a draft to read, a fix to approve, a pull request to merge.

If approvals stack up, Mission Control will nudge you to clear what’s waiting before starting more.

The Tracking Strip

Across the top you’ll see your running totals — items completed, an estimate of the hours saved, your current AI visibility score and trend — plus what’s open right now in each layer. Each new report adds a line too: how many new suggestions it found, or that everything it flagged was already being tracked. If your plan has a monthly allowance, the Engine X of Y this month meter shows how much you’ve used.
