BrandViz.AI + Vercel

AI crawler traffic, straight from your Vercel logs.

BrandViz.AI connects to Vercel with a one-click log drain and reads which AI crawlers fetch which pages. It never writes to Vercel and installs nothing on your site.

How it works

Read-only
  1. Connect Vercel

One click: the Vercel consent flow opens, you approve, BrandViz configures the rest.

  2. BrandViz.AI reads

Request logs, read-only. Requires a Vercel Pro or Enterprise plan.

  3. It shows as

The AI traffic dashboard in BrandViz.AI.

  4. Nothing to approve

Nothing to approve: BrandViz.AI never writes to Vercel.

What you see

What does BrandViz.AI read from Vercel?

BrandViz.AI reads request logs from Vercel and turns them into an AI traffic view: which AI crawlers fetched your site, which pages they asked for, and whether each fetch succeeded or failed. Because the data is per request, you can filter to a single crawler or page, or exclude the training-corpus crawlers nobody can act on.

Which crawlers came

Every AI crawler identified by user agent, so you can tell retrieval crawlers that feed live answers apart from training crawlers that only build corpora.

Which pages they fetched

Per-request detail down to the URL, so you can see whether the page you just fixed is being fetched at all, and by whom.

Whether the fetch succeeded

Status codes on every request. A crawler that is blocked, redirected or served an error is invisible to the AI engine behind it, however good the page is.

Filter and exclude

Isolate one crawler or one page, or exclude the ones you cannot act on, so the picture you look at is the one that affects citations.

Safety

Is it safe to connect BrandViz.AI to Vercel?

Yes. The Vercel connection is read-only. BrandViz.AI receives a stream of request logs and nothing else: it cannot deploy, change environment variables, edit domains, alter build settings or touch your code.

What BrandViz.AI can do

  • Receive request logs from the connected project.
  • Identify AI crawlers by user agent and record which pages they fetched and with what status.
  • Show connection health, including the difference between connected and receiving data.

What BrandViz.AI can never do

  • Deploy, roll back or promote anything in your Vercel project.
  • Change environment variables, domains, build settings or team membership.
  • Read or edit your source code. Code changes only ever arrive through the GitHub integration, as a pull request you review.
  • Be changed by read-only portal viewers.

After approval

What do you see once data arrives?

Once data arrives, the AI traffic view in BrandViz.AI sits beside your visibility report, so a mention or citation gap and the crawl behaviour behind it are read together. If a page you fixed is never fetched, or is fetched and served an error, that is the next thing to solve, before any more content is written.

Crawl activity, live

Requests appear within minutes of connecting and accumulate from that moment, giving you a record of AI crawler behaviour you did not have before.

Blocked crawlers surfaced

A firewall rule or bot-mitigation layer that turns away GPTBot or PerplexityBot shows up as failed fetches, which explains a citation gap no content fix can close.

Fixes checked against reality

After a fix ships and is approved, the traffic view shows whether the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity have fetched the updated page.

Connecting

How does BrandViz.AI connect to Vercel?

BrandViz.AI connects to Vercel in one click from Integrations: approve Vercel’s consent screen and BrandViz configures the log stream for you. Vercel requires a Pro or Enterprise plan for log streaming, and history starts the moment you connect.

  1. 1

    Choose Vercel under Integrations

In BrandViz.AI, open Integrations and select Vercel in the AI crawler logs section. Cloudflare sits alongside it for sites on that network.

  2. 2

    Approve in Vercel’s consent flow

A popup opens on Vercel. You approve access for the project, and BrandViz sets up the request log stream. Nothing else in your project is touched.

  3. 3

    Data arrives within minutes

Requests start flowing as soon as the stream is live. There is no backfill, so the sooner it is on, the sooner your history begins.

  4. 4

    Health is reported honestly

The panel shows connected and receiving data as separate states. If Vercel silently disables the stream, you are told, rather than seeing an empty chart and assuming crawlers stopped coming.

Vercel is one of two read-only sources. The other is Cloudflare, which reads hourly analytics for a zone and works on every plan including Free.

Before you ask

How soon does data arrive?

Vercel streams requests within minutes, and Cloudflare fills in hour by hour. History starts when you connect.

Does it touch my site or slow it down?

No. BrandViz.AI reads logs or analytics after the fact. Nothing is installed on your pages.

What if the connection breaks?

Connected and receiving data are separate states, so a stream that stopped is reported rather than mistaken for a quiet site.

Frequently asked questions

What does BrandViz.AI access in my Vercel project?

BrandViz.AI receives a read-only stream of request logs from the project you approve in Vercel’s consent flow, and nothing else. It cannot deploy, change settings or read your code. Vercel requires a Pro or Enterprise plan for log streaming. Disconnect from Integrations at any time and the stream stops.

Which AI crawlers does it identify?

BrandViz.AI identifies AI crawlers by user agent from your own logs, including the retrieval crawlers behind live answers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot and the training-corpus crawlers such as Bytespider. You can filter to one crawler or exclude the ones you cannot act on, so the view stays focused on what affects citations.

Is there any history before I connect?

No. Vercel streams requests forward from the moment the connection is live, and there is nothing to backfill. Data appears within a few minutes, and the record grows from there. That is the reason to connect early: the sooner the stream is on, the longer the history you have when a citation gap needs explaining.

Can BrandViz.AI fix a blocked crawler for me?

The Vercel connection is read-only, so it shows the block rather than changing it. Where the fix lives in your code, BrandViz.AI can carry it through the GitHub integration as a pull request. Where it lives in a firewall or CDN setting, the activity feed tells you the exact change to make.

See who is reading your site.

Connect Vercel and watch which AI crawlers reach your pages, next to the visibility report that explains why.
